St Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic High School or ''Guzzies'' as it is commonly known, is a voluntary-aided Catholic comprehensive school in the town of St Helens, Lancashire. The school has approximately 725 pupils whose ages range from 11 to 16. The rules of the school are listed in the Notebook planner and if they are broken, the student can be given after-school detention ranging from 30 Minutes to 2 Hours and 30 Minutes. ==Academics== The school is a voluntary aided comprehensive school. There are currently a wide ranch of subjects to choose from once a pupil reaches the end of Year 8. These include History, Modern Languages, Art, Drama, Geography, Health and Social Care and Leisure and Tourism. Pupils will choose 3 subjects to follow their core courses (English, Maths, Science, ICT, RE, PSHE and Citizenship). The school uses a housing system, akin to most other schools in the UK.
